Subjects of interest developed by the magneto-optics team are the following :

• Innovations in optical characterization methods and ellipsometry
• magneto-optics in guiding strcutures. In this field , two ways are studied:
  • Deposition of thin films using sol-gel whith magnetic nano particles
  • Radio-frequency magnetron sputtering technique for deposition of thin magnetic films.

This team is very competently in the optical field and has important characterization l'équipe s'appuie sur des compétences fortes et des moyens de caractérisation importants dans le domaine de l'optique polarimétrique et de l'optique guidée. L'équipe possèdent des compétences en :

• Caractérisation par ellipsomètre spectroscopique
• Caractérisat sur banc de spectroscopie des lignes noires
• Mesures d'atténuation et de battements grâce à un banc de couplage par prisme
• Mesure d'effet Faraday et de biréfringence induite, grâce à son un banc d'analyse magnéto-optique en transmission
• Mesure de cycles d'hystérésis par effet Kerr grâce à son banc dédié
