Les thématiques développées au sein de cette équipe concernent:

• le développement de nouvelles méthodes de caractérisation optiques et ellipsométriques
• la magnéto-optique en configuration guidée, et dans ce domaine deux voies sont explorées:
  • Dépôt de couches minces sol-gel dopées par des nanoparticules magnétiques
  • Dépôt par pulvérisation cathodique radiofréquence de matériaux magnétiques

Les recherches de l'équipe s'appuie sur des compétences fortes et des moyens de caractérisation importants dans le domaine de l'optique polarimétrique et de l'optique guidée. L'équipe possèdent des compétences en :

• Caractérisation par ellipsomètre spectroscopique
• Caractérisat sur banc de spectroscopie des lignes noires
• Mesures d'atténuation et de battements grâce à un banc de couplage par prisme
• Mesure d'effet Faraday et de biréfringence induite, grâce à son un banc d'analyse magnéto-optique en transmission
• Mesure de cycles d'hystérésis par effet Kerr grâce à son banc dédié
