The scope is mainly devoted to magnetic nanoparticles in terms of synthesis, dispersion in different matrix, and applications, especially optical ones.

Each speakers is asked to give an english spoken lecture which covers the following points:

  • A presentation of her/his research environnment (University, Research center, collaborations, funding....), and her/his laboratory (scope, field of competences, number of researchers.....)
  • A general presentation of her/his field of research. One should note that participants may be chemists, physicians or opticians and that lots of them are students. In this part, speakers are invited to emphasize on the understanding of phenomena.
  • A more detailed presentation of her/his own activities and main results related to the session topics.

As requested by the French Ministry of National Education and Research which mainly funds the Summer School, several excursions are planned during the week.
